Emergency crews rushed to the M25 near Swanley, Kent, after a coach overturned on its side in a serious collision. The crash occurred on the anti-clockwise carriageway close to junction 3.
Kent Police were called at 4pm following reports of the coach incident. The vehicle, carrying passengers, reportedly left the motorway at the junction 3 slip road, smashed through barriers, and ended up on its side in a ditch.
South East Coast Ambulance Service dispatched 15 ambulances to treat an unknown number of casualties. The Kent and Surrey Air Ambulance also landed at the scene to provide urgent medical support.
Highways England confirmed the M25 junction 3 anti-clockwise exit slip road is closed while emergency services clear the scene. Drivers face delays of over 90 minutes. Motorists are urged to seek alternative routes and expect long journey times.
