Five youths have been arrested following a violent assault on a teenage boy in Canterbury. The shocking attack unfolded on Whitefriars Street at around 6pm on Thursday, 6 June 2019.
Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service rushed to the scene after reports of the assault. The victim, a teenage boy, was flown to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.
Two 16-year-olds (a boy and a girl) from Canterbury, two 15-year-old boys from Canterbury, and one 17-year-old boy from Margate have all been arrested in connection with the attack. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances behind the incident.
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate is urging anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information to come forward. Officers thank those who have already helped and ask others to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 06-1409.
