A serious crash involving a car and a heavy goods vehicle on the M25 clockwise in Kent has resulted in major traffic delays. The collision occurred between junctions J1A and J1B, just after the Dartford Crossing.
One lane out of four has been closed while emergency crews, including the South East Coast Ambulance Service, attend the scene. This has caused congestion to build up significantly.
Traffic is now backed up all the way to Junction 30. Drivers approaching this section of the M25 should prepare for disruption and expect extra journey time. Commuters are advised to consider alternative routes or delay travel if possible to avoid the delays.
Long-distance drivers are also warned to reroute their journeys and allow plenty of additional time. It is important to follow advice displayed on on-road variable message signs for the latest traffic updates and information.
