Chaos erupted near Maidstone as a caravan caught fire on Chegworth Road, Harrietsham. Five people were rushed to hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation and burns.
Kent Fire and Rescue responded swiftly, deploying four fire engines to the scene. Firefighters used powerful hose reel jets to bring the fire under control.
All five injured individuals were outside the caravan when firefighters arrived. Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service treated their injuries at the scene before transferring them to hospital.
The cause of the blaze is currently unknown but is believed to be accidental.
