Police in Swindon are urgently seeking information following a hit-and-run incident in which a young child was struck by a vehicle on Beaulieu Close, Toothill.
The incident occurred just before noon on Saturday, 18 October, at around 11:30am on the normally quiet street.
According to reports, the driver initially stopped and spoke to the child’s family but then fled the scene without leaving any contact information.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “At approximately 11.30am on Saturday (18/10), a child was hit by a vehicle in Beaulieu Close, Toothill. The driver did initially stop and speak to the young child’s family, however, did not leave any details. We are keen to speak to the driver or anyone who witnessed the incident.”
Authorities are urging anyone who saw the incident or has any information to contact Wiltshire Police, quoting log number 146 of October 18.
