Police were called to an industrial park in Essex shortly after 1:30am on Thursday 26 August following reports from ambulance crews who found a man with serious stab wounds.
The victim, believed to be in his 40s, was immediately taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition remains critical.
Detective Inspector Scott Kingsnorth of Essex Police confirmed that officers are working quickly to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack.
DI Kingsnorth advised anyone working at or travelling to the Enterprise Court industrial estate to avoid the area and consider alternative travel arrangements while the investigation continues.
The police have issued an appeal for the public’s help, requesting any dash cam or Ring doorbell footage from the vicinity that might assist in the inquiry.
DI Kingsnorth stated: “If you have any dash cam or Ring doorbell footage from the area, or any other info, please get in touch with Essex Police.”
