At around 6.30pm yesterday, police responded to reports of a stabbing on Carr Lane East in West Derby. A 24-year-old man was found with serious wounds to his chest and leg. Emergency services quickly transported the victim to hospital, where his condition remains critical.
Following the incident, officers arrested three individuals in connection with the attack. A 44-year-old man from Liverpool was detained on suspicion of attempted murder. Additionally, two women from Liverpool, aged 46 and 49, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and wounding with intent. All three suspects are currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
Detective Inspector Neil Dillon stated that the stabbing resulted from an altercation at an address on Carr Lane East. Forensic teams are examining the scene, and police are conducting house-to-house inquiries along with reviewing CCTV footage in the area.
DI Dillon appealed to the public for assistance: “We currently have three people in custody but our enquiries remain ongoing. If you have any information or dash cam footage from the area around the time of the incident, please get in touch.”
