An 18-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, 16 March on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a shooting incident on Derby Road, Ponders End.

The suspect was taken to a north London police station, where he remains in custody as the investigation continues.

The arrest relates to a shooting that occurred on Saturday, 7 January. A 26-year-old man was shot while sitting in a car on Derby Road, EN3. The victim was rushed to hospital and is currently in critical but stable condition.

Earlier in the investigation, on Sunday, 5 February, police arrested a 33-year-old man who has since been charged with conspiracy to murder.

Police are appealing to the public for any information regarding the incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting CAD 3607/7Jan. Tips can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
