A convicted predator who sexually assaulted women across London’s transport system has been sentenced to prison. Craig Anderson, aged 38, terrorised women at busy locations including Bank, Liverpool Street, Westminster stations, and even as far as Redhill in Surrey.

His disturbing spree of attacks took place over several months last year, leaving victims frightened and deeply shaken.

Anderson was captured on CCTV footage at Bank station on June 14, pushing through ticket barriers while smirking as he searched for lone women to target. Court proceedings revealed the chilling detail that he laughed during one attack as a terrified woman screamed and broke down in tears.

He was convicted of four sexual assaults committed between June 26 and October 3. His offences included groping a woman on stairs and making unwanted advances on a train to Gatwick Airport. Despite warnings, he attempted to forcibly kiss a passenger, ignoring threats that police would be called.

Anderson also stalked another victim relentlessly, sending her messages from eight different phone numbers. He sent explicit images without consent, later dismissing his actions as “just playful.”

Following the guilty verdict for sexual assault and stalking causing serious alarm, Anderson shouted from the dock, “I can do what I want about girls.” Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard how his actions caused trauma to multiple women during the summer and autumn months.

This conviction serves as a strong message that predators like Anderson will be held fully accountable under the law. Women travelling across London deserve to do so safely, free from harassment and fear.
