A 47-year-old man from Ruislip has died following a crash involving his red Triumph motorcycle and a lorry trailer on the A4 Colnbrook Bypass, also known locally as Lakeside Road.

Emergency services were called to the scene just before midday on Sunday, 31 August, after reports of the collision. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thames Valley Police confirmed that no arrests have been made and that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

PC Mark Dunne of the Roads Policing Unit said, “Firstly, I want to offer my deepest condolences to the family of the man who sadly died in this collision. I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to please check their dash-cam footage, in case they captured the collision or the moments leading up to it.”

He added, “If you have any information, please call 101 or report online quoting reference number 43250445296. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

The A4 Colnbrook Bypass was closed for several hours while collision investigators worked at the scene. Traffic delays were reported in and around Lakeside Road and nearby routes as motorists faced disruptions.
