A 71-year-old woman is fighting for her life after a vicious assault in Worcester city centre.
Anthony Roberts, 56, from Amber Heights, Green Hill, has been charged with attempted murder, sexual assault, and carrying a bladed article in public.
Police arrested Roberts and he remains in custody. He is due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court today, Monday 8 May.
Officers responded just after 2am on Sunday to Kleve Walk, where the elderly victim was found seriously injured. She is currently in critical condition in hospital.
