Three more suspects have been charged in the brutal murder case of 22-year-old Levi Kent. Levi was found seriously assaulted on Keyes Road, Bridgemary, at 2:32 am on November 24. He later died from his injuries, prompting a major police investigation.
The new charges announced include Peter West, 42, of Fisgard Road, Gosport, who has been charged with two counts of assisting an offender. Liam Savage, 37, from Trinity Green, Gosport, also faces two counts of assisting an offender. Mark Phillips, 56, of Gilbert Close, Gosport, has been charged with perverting the course of justice by giving a false statement to police.
All three suspects have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear in court today at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.
Prior to these recent charges, four other individuals were charged in connection with Levi Kent’s murder. They are due to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on January 10, 2024. These include Tommy West, 18, of Fisgard Road, charged with murder, robbery, and possession of a bladed article; Aiden West, 24, of Tudor Close, facing the same charges; Sarah Flynn, 35, of James Close, Gosport, charged with assisting an offender; and Joanne West, 45, with no fixed address, charged with two counts of assisting an offender.
Hampshire Constabulary continues its full-scale investigation, pursuing multiple leads to bring those responsible to justice. The Gosport community remains deeply affected by Levi’s tragic death, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in solving the case.
