Chaos unfolded at the Ibis Hotel on Trafford Road, Salford, Manchester, on Thursday evening after a young boy was tragically killed in a car crash outside the budget hotel.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing armed police storm the Ibis Hotel at around 9.30pm, with at least three ambulances rushing to the scene. Officers were observed inside the hotel foyer while emergency vehicles lined the pavement outside.

A witness, who wished to remain anonymous, described seeing a woman emerge from the hotel wearing a blood-stained shirt.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed the death of the young boy following the collision near the hotel. Staff at the Ibis Hotel declined to comment on the incident.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit along with other emergency services attended the scene. Police are maintaining a guard outside the hotel as the investigation continues.

Authorities have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward as they work to piece together the events leading to this heartbreaking tragedy in Salford Quays.
