Essex Police have conducted a major operation targeting a suspected organised crime gang involved in the distribution of class A drugs across the county. Three properties located in Canvey Island, Brentwood, and Benfleet were raided as part of this extensive crackdown.
During the raids, officers discovered more than 650 wraps of class A substances hidden in two cars parked outside the Canvey Island property. This significant haul indicates a well-established drug distribution network operating throughout Essex.
In addition to the drugs, law enforcement seized approximately £100,000 in cash. Notably, some of the money was concealed in concrete, demonstrating the gang’s efforts to hide their illegal profits from authorities.
Police also recovered multiple weapons, numerous mobile phones, and bags containing counterfeit clothing. These seizures highlight the broad scope of criminal activity linked to the gang and the police’s commitment to removing dangerous items and fake goods from the streets.
