Heavily armed police officers stormed a home on North Road in Shanklin this afternoon, forcefully battering down the door with a ram and crowbars as part of a dramatic drug raid.

The operation saw officers burst through the front door using a powerful door enforcer and a hoodlum bar. Specialist drugs dogs were deployed to assist in sniffing out evidence during the search.

The Force Support Unit also joined the operation, with four police vehicles parked outside the property while searches were conducted.

Hampshire Constabulary confirmed that specialist officers executed pre-planned warrants at addresses on North Road in Shanklin this morning. The warrants are linked to an ongoing investigation into the supply of drugs.

During the raid, two men and a woman were arrested and remain in police custody. Enquiries are ongoing as police continue their investigation.

Authorities have urged anyone with information related to drug activity to contact the Ventnor Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.
