Heavily armed police stormed a home on North Road in Shanklin this afternoon, smashing down the door with a ram and crowbars in a dramatic drug raid.

The operation saw officers execute a pre-planned warrant targeting suspected drug supply in the area. Witnesses reported seeing police burst through the front door using a powerful door enforcer and hoodlum bar.

Specialist drugs dogs were deployed to assist in the search for evidence, while the Force Support Unit supported the operation. Four police vehicles were parked outside the property as searches were carried out.

Hampshire Constabulary confirmed the raid, stating: “We can confirm that specialist officers executed pre-planned warrants at addresses on North Road in Shanklin this morning. The warrants relate to an investigation into the supply of drugs.”

Two men and a woman were arrested during the raid and remain in police custody. Enquiries are ongoing as officers continue their investigation.

Police have urged anyone with information about drug-related crime in the area to contact the Ventnor Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.
