The Yarmouth lifeboat and the Needles Coastguard were scrambled just before 3pm on Saturday, June 15th, to assist a yacht in trouble off Colwell Bay, Isle of Wight.

While en route to the first yacht, the Yarmouth lifeboat stopped to help a second vessel that had lost its mast. This second rescue was then handed over to the Lymington lifeboat, which had also been launched to provide assistance.

Both lifeboats and coastguard teams remain on the scene, working diligently to bring the stranded sailors to safety. Further updates will be provided as the rescue operation continues.
