Seven men have been re-arrested as police ramp up their investigation into the murder of Gurinderjit Rai in Corhampton dating back to July 2019.
The 41-year-old victim was found in a parked car on Shepherds Farm Lane on 13 July 2019. A post-mortem examination confirmed that he died from gunshot wounds.
Following an extensive investigation that initially led to 18 arrests, officers made fresh arrests on Tuesday 7 July. All seven men are currently in police custody on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
The men arrested include a 30-year-old from Winchester, a 42-year-old from Owslebury, a 32-year-old from Climping in West Sussex, a 40-year-old from Southampton, a 26-year-old from Winchester, another 32-year-old from Winchester, and a 29-year-old from Eastleigh.
All seven face suspicion of conspiracy to murder as the investigation continues to uncover the details surrounding the chilling events in Corhampton.
