Kent and Essex crime officers have intercepted a significant drug shipment after discovering 13 kilos of cocaine concealed inside a gas canister.

The illegal haul was uncovered when police stopped a van on Thompsett Way at approximately 7.50pm on 15 September 2020. Officers found the class A drug expertly hidden within the vehicle.

Two days later, Mosin Quadir, aged 26, from Durham Terrace in Bradford, was charged with possession with intent to supply and acquiring criminal property in connection with the seizure.

Quadir appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on 18 September and was remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 16 October.
