Three crafty crooks have conned a 90-something pensioner out of £250 in a ruthless parking fine scam near Harbinger post office.

The Shocking Scam

The gang told the elderly man he owed a parking fine outside the shop. They lured him to a nearby phone box, insisting he needed to pay immediately. While one distracted him, another covered the card slot with paper and nabbed his bank card right under his nose.

A masked man in a cap then stormed into the post office and withdrew £250 using the stolen card. A younger man in a grey tracksuit feigned innocence and offered to help by calling the bank.

The Aftermath: More Theft and Warning

The scammers didn’t stop there. They rushed to Curry’s in Beckton and splashed out even more cash on the victim’s stolen card before he got home and warned his family.

Local residents shared blurry CCTV screenshots of the trio to alert the community. “Please make sure everyone is very careful and spot these people hanging around. Call the police,” urged local resident Charlee Tough-Langton.

Stay Alert: Protect Yourself & Loved Ones

This ruthless gang targeted a vulnerable senior with a slick, cold-blooded con. If you see these men, report them immediately. Don’t let heartless thieves rob you or your family.
