Jayren Kadamen, 33, has been jailed for more than six years after attempting to meet a child for sex in Gravesend. The arrest came as a result of a Kent Police investigation carried out by their Paedophile Online Investigation Team.
Kadamen sent explicit sexual messages online in an effort to lure a child into meeting him. On October 23, 2024, he travelled to Gravesend with the intention of abusing the child, but police officers were waiting and arrested him immediately.
During a search of Kadamen’s car, officers found a mobile phone containing numerous indecent images of children. This discovery led to additional charges against him.
At Maidstone Crown Court on January 15, 2025, Kadamen, formerly of Kingfisher Drive, Maidenhead, pleaded guilty to arranging child sex offences and possessing indecent photographs. He was sentenced to six years and four months in prison.
In addition to his prison sentence, Kadamen was issued a 15-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order to restrict his contact with children after his release.
Detective Constable Jess Medway commented: “Investigations like this one protect vulnerable children by tracking down those who would exploit them online. We do everything in our power to target predators like Kadamen and keep the public safe.”
