A 48-year-old man from Milton Keynes, Mark Gale, has been sentenced to 16 years and six months in prison after being convicted of serious child sex offences. The verdict was delivered at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday, 23 July, following a five-day trial.
Gale was found guilty of several charges, including raping a girl under 13, two counts of attempted rape of a girl under 13, causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity, and sexual assault of a girl under 13. These offences involved two victims and occurred between July 2017 and February 2024.
Detective Constable Victoria McEwen, from Thames Valley Police’s Child Abuse Investigation Unit, praised the bravery of the victims. She said, “The sentence reflects the severity of Gale’s crimes against two children. He has never admitted guilt or shown remorse. I want to thank the victims for their bravery in coming forward and giving evidence. Their courage has put a dangerous man behind bars, protecting other children from harm.”
The sentencing sends a strong message in the ongoing fight against child abuse within the community, ensuring justice is served for the victims and safeguarding others from harm.
