Two people are counting their lucky stars after a helicopter crash in Snodsbury this afternoon. Ambulance crews rushed to the scene following a dramatic crash landing in a field near Naunton Road, Upper Snodsbury, Worcestershire, at 1.54pm.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sprang into action, sending one ambulance, a paramedic officer, and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance to the site. On arrival, crews found both occupants—a man and a woman—already out of the helicopter and sitting clear of the wreckage.

The woman was treated for back and abdominal pain and taken by land ambulance to Worcester Royal Hospital after receiving pain relief. The man escaped with just minor bumps and bruises and was discharged at the scene.

“Given the incident had the potential for a far more serious outcome, it is pleasing that both patients have been incredibly lucky to walk away relatively unhurt,” said a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman.

What could have been a deadly disaster turned into a tale of incredible luck. Both passengers walked away from the crash with only minor injuries, leaving emergency crews relieved at the outcome.
