A motorcyclist has been arrested after recklessly riding at police officers and attempting to ram them during the Notting Hill Carnival. The incident occurred amid the busy and colourful festivities, causing significant concern among law enforcement.
The rider ignored police orders to stop, sparking a high-speed chase that unfolded over the vibrant scenes of the famous Notting Hill Carnival. Police helicopters quickly joined the pursuit, tracking the suspect from above to aid ground units.
The chase continued past the National Police Air Service (NPAS) base, who promptly mobilised to assist officers on the ground. The suspect sped from Notting Hill, passing Heathrow Airport and continuing on to Northolt, where NPAS62 took over control of the aerial pursuit.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police eventually brought the chase to an end, stopping the motorbike and arresting the male rider. The daring stunt is currently under investigation, with police praising their coordinated teamwork in safely apprehending a dangerous offender.
