Deangelo Brown, 23, from Luton, has been convicted of raping a 15-year-old girl at a bus stop in north London. The incident occurred near Harlesden High Street and has led to Brown’s conviction at Harrow Crown Court.

Brown was found guilty on Tuesday, 15 September, of rape and sexual activity with a child. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Tuesday, 3 November, at Harrow Crown Court.

The attack took place on the morning of 10 March. Brown approached the teenager at a bus stop, asked her age, and then forced her to follow him into a nearby alleyway where he assaulted her.

A member of the public witnessed the attack and intervened, escorting the victim to Harlesden police station where she reported the crime.

Police acted swiftly, circulating Brown’s description and arresting him nearby. The victim was taken to a Haven centre where she received specialist support.

Detective Constable Samantha said: “I want to praise the bravery and composure of this young girl after such a horrifying ordeal. Brown is a dangerous predator who’s been rightly convicted. Thanks to the witness who helped her and walked her to the police station. Anyone who’s suffered a sexual offence should report it so we can get offenders off the streets.”
