Two men have been sentenced to prison for a vicious and unprovoked attack outside a nightclub in Nottingham. The victim, a man in his 20s, was punched and stamped on, sustaining serious head injuries during the early hours of May 5, 2025.
Police identified four suspects after reviewing CCTV footage from the scene. The suspects are Jayden Gunter, Kiarne McLeary, Alfie Seagrave, and Jaden Walters. Disturbingly, the footage shows Walters passing a knife to Seagrave shortly after leaving the club at 4am. Fortunately, the weapon was not used in the assault.
Sentencing details reveal that Jayden Gunter, aged 20, of Shanwell Close, Nottingham, received a prison term of 16 months and two weeks. Alfie Seagrave, 21, from Rugby Road, West Bridgford, admitted to knife possession and was sentenced to two years and three months. Kiarne McLeary, 24, of Beechdale Road, Nottingham, and Jaden Walters, 22, from Moorfield Court, Stapleford, are awaiting sentencing. Walters has also pleaded guilty to knife possession.
All four men pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm without intent at Nottingham Crown Court on January 16.
This violent incident underscores the ongoing challenges posed by knife crime and night-time violence in Nottingham city centre.
