Firefighters battled a huge blaze at a two-story warehouse located on Andover’s Walworth Industrial Estate. The building, which housed a furniture and paint shop, was completely gutted by the flames. Although the fire has now been extinguished, crews remain on site to manage the aftermath.

Shortly after 10 a.m., multiple emergency calls were received by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) Control Room. Firefighters from Hampshire joined forces with colleagues from Dorset, Wiltshire, and Royal Berkshire to tackle the fire. At the peak of the incident, approximately 100 firefighters were present, deploying aerial ladder platforms, water carriers, and environmental protection units to contain the blaze.

Thankfully, no injuries have been reported in connection with the fire. However, Walworth Road remains closed as emergency services maintain a strong presence at the scene. Relief crews from Totton, Ringwood, Romsey, and other neighbouring areas have arrived to replace the firefighters who battled the blaze for several hours.

The fire response united communities across the region, with teams from Andover, Whitchurch, Winchester, Basingstoke, and Eastleigh attending the scene. Additional support came from Bishop’s Waltham, Hartley Wintney, Sutton Scotney, Hamble, Rushmoor, and other locations. Environmental protection vehicles were also deployed to help prevent further damage to surrounding areas.

This major response highlights the coordination between fire services across several counties to protect the community and contain the massive fire at the Andover industrial estate.
