On Tuesday afternoon, 28 January, a man was stabbed near the North London Tavern on Kilburn High Road. Police responded swiftly to reports of a stabbing at around 3:20pm. The victim received treatment for his wounds and was taken to hospital. A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and assaulting a police officer. This incident follows a double stabbing near the same tavern just weeks earlier, raising concerns about safety in the Kilburn area.
Later that day, at approximately 5:30pm, two teenage boys aged 14 and 15 were stabbed on Acton High Street. Emergency services treated the boys at the scene before transporting them to hospital. Fortunately, their injuries were not life-threatening. These attacks highlight the ongoing issue of knife crime affecting young people in London.
The violence continued on Wednesday, 29 January, when an 18-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds on East Ham High Street at about 1pm. He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police have arrested two men in connection with this attack, and both remain in custody as investigations proceed.
Crime scenes in East Ham and Acton remain active while the Metropolitan Police continue their inquiries into these violent incidents. The Met Police have launched investigations into the recent spike in knife crime and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
