East Sussex Fire & Rescue scrambled five fire crews to a major house fire on New Church Road, Hove, in the early morning of 28 January 2026. The fire caused significant flames, prompting a large-scale emergency response.
Fire teams from Hove, Preston Circus, Roedean, Lewes, and Newhaven arrived at the scene quickly. They were supported by a Command Unit stationed in Bexhill. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus and powerful hose reel jets worked together to tackle the intense blaze.
The fire was first reported at 4:47am. By 7:09am, crews had brought the fire under control and were focusing on damping down and searching for any remaining hot spots. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during this early morning incident.
