Police are investigating a serious stabbing that occurred on Chatham Hill, Chatham, leaving a man in his twenties injured. Emergency services responded promptly to the incident.
At around 1:55pm on Sunday, 20 April 2025, emergency crews were called to Chatham Hill after reports of a man found wounded. Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene, treating the victim’s stab wounds before transporting him to hospital. The victim has since been discharged.
Within hours of the stabbing, police stopped a black Audi A1 in Gravesend believed to be connected to the attack. Two men, both aged 22, were arrested in relation to the incident.
Djorn Anderson, from Huddersfield, faces serious charges including wounding with intent, as well as multiple driving offences such as driving while disqualified, driving without a license, and driving without insurance. Anderson appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 22 April and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 19 May.
The second man, who is from London, was released on conditional bail pending further investigation. He must report back to police on 16 July.
Kent Police are urging anyone who witnessed the stabbing or saw the suspicious black Audi A1 near Chatham Hill to come forward. Detectives are particularly keen to speak with drivers who may have dashcam footage and residents with private CCTV that could have captured the incident.
A Kent Police spokesperson said, “We believe there are still witnesses or footage holders who have not spoken to officers yet. Please come forward if you saw anything.”
