Prolific Criminal Locked Up for Two and a Half Years in Hertfordshire Crime Spree
A career offender wreaking havoc across Hertfordshire has finally been put behind bars. Paul Hayward, 46, from Stanley Gardens, Borehamwood, was sentenced to two and a half years at St Albans Crown Court after pleading guilty to a string of offences.
Hayward’s Crime Spree Across Hertfordshire
Hayward’s crimes stretched across Borehamwood, Rickmansworth, Stevenage, and Edgware. His rap sheet includes:
- Multiple burglaries
- Thefts
- Aggravated vehicle taking
- Dangerous driving
- Driving without a valid licence
- Possession of cannabis
Some charges of attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon (knuckle duster) were dropped. Despite this, the court handed down a hefty sentence.
Driving Ban and Custodial Sentence
Alongside his jail term, Hayward has been banned from driving for 39 months. The sentencing on 19 July marks a serious crackdown on his criminal activities.
“Hayward’s offending caused significant distress across multiple communities in Hertfordshire. His jail time serves as a warning that such crime won’t be tolerated,” said the court spokesperson.
Hertfordshire police continue their efforts to keep the streets safe from repeat offenders like Hayward.
