A 45-year-old man has died after being struck by a car in Barnsley, prompting a murder investigation. The victim, Liam Green, was hit on Rose Tree Avenue, Cudworth, just before 5pm on Friday. Police confirmed Liam died at the scene after being struck by a white VW Touareg.
