Leeds Man Arrested Over 1998 Murder of Teen Donna Keogh

A 64-year-old from Leeds has been arrested on suspicion of murdering 17-year-old Donna Keogh, who disappeared from Middlesbrough more than two decades ago.

Cold Case Breakthrough After 24 Years

Donna was last seen in central Middlesbrough on 28 April 1998. It’s believed she travelled to Leeds later that year. Despite huge police efforts, her body has never been found. Officers suspect she was killed shortly after vanishing.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

The arrest was made early Tuesday, with backup from West Yorkshire Police. The suspect remains in custody as detectives probe the case.

Detective Chief Inspector Steven Chatterton said: “We have made an arrest as a result of our recent enquiries, and the man remains in police custody. I would urge anyone who may have seen Donna or has information about her movements in Leeds in 1998 to come forward. Somebody out there knows the truth.”
