Police hunt man after shocking attack on Blue Star bus in Hampshire

Hampshire & Isle of Wight police want to track down a man linked to a disturbing incident on a Blue Star bus. The attack happened between 6pm and 6.30pm on Sunday, January 18, when a teenage girl was verbally abused and spat at while the bus was parked at the junction of West Bargate and Hanover Buildings.

Officers have released a sketchy description of the suspect:

  • White male, around 40 years old
  • About 5ft 10ins tall
  • Wearing a grey coat and green trousers
  • Bearded, with a black cloth covering his head

Police say this man could hold vital information for their investigation. They urge him—or anyone who recognises him—to come forward immediately.
