Hamza Zeyadi, 47, with no fixed address, has been locked up for a string of thefts and carrying a knife in public. The Reading man pleaded guilty at Reading Magistrates’ Court on 23 February to multiple charges, including shoplifting, stealing from a pensioner, handling stolen goods, and threatening behaviour.

52 Weeks Behind Bars for Multiple Crimes

Zeyadi received a 52-week prison sentence following a spree of brazen crimes across Reading. Highlights of his offending include:

  • Stealing money from a woman in her 70s at a cash point on Erleigh Road, 25 November 2025, 9:30pm

Swift Justice for Knife and Theft Offences

Police arrested Zeyadi on the spot after spotting the large kitchen knife. His criminal antics spanned street thefts and aggressive shoplifting. The courts have now dealt with him firmly, sending a message that such behaviour won’t be tolerated in Reading’s streets.
