Paedophile Groomed Teen Online and Fed Her Drugs to Control Abuse – Now Locked Up for Over Seven Years

Predator Used Drugs, Alcohol to Trap Teen

A Brazilian man living in Surrey has been jailed for 7 years and 6 months after grooming and sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl online. Vitor Soares de Oliveira initially pleaded not guilty but flipped on day two of his trial at Swindon Crown Court in January.

He admitted to five counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of making indecent Category A images of the girl. The victim thought he was 19, but he lied about his real age to cover his tracks.

The court heard Soares de Oliveira fed the teenager drugs, alcohol, vapes, and food to keep her under his control. The abuse only came to light when the girl bravely told a friend in June 2025. Police acted after fears she was missing and spotted with the predator.

Judge Slams Soares de Oliveira with Heavy Sentence

On Friday 20th March, he was handed a lengthy prison term. He must also register as a sex offender for life and comply with a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years. A victim surcharge of £228 was also imposed.

Detective Hails Victim’s Bravery

“This has been a long and traumatic ordeal for the survivor, who has shown incredible strength and resilience throughout,” said T/Detective Constable Samantha Martin.

“Soares de Oliveira was a predatory offender targeting a child, fully aware she was only 14, travelling from Surrey to Wiltshire to abuse her.”

“The victim’s courageous statement and witness testimonies made the case rock solid, leading to his guilty plea. While we can’t undo the harm, I hope this sentence offers some closure.”

“Our Missing & Exploitation Unit is committed to supporting victims and bringing offenders to justice.”
