Chaos hit Newhaven on Monday night as a driver ignored police orders and sparked a high-speed chase.
Police Helicopter Joins High-Speed Hunt
At around 7.40pm on 23 March, officers tried to pull over a suspicious vehicle. The driver slammed the accelerator instead, refusing to stop. The National Police Air Service (NPAS) quickly scrambled a helicopter to track the runaway car from the sky.
Fugitive Flees on Foot After Abandoning Car
Moments later, police found the vehicle abandoned nearby—but no one was caught. Officers are hunting the driver as the investigation continues.
