Man Arrested After Shocking Attack at Bradford on Avon Health Centre

A man in his 30s sparked chaos at a Bradford on Avon health centre, leaving six people battered in a terrifying rampage. The violent drama erupted just after 6pm on Tuesday (17 March) at the Station Approach pharmacy and health centre.

Mayhem at the Surgery

  • The suspect smashed up the health centre and pharmacy.
  • He made off with stolen medication during the attack.
  • Staff and patients were assaulted amid the chaos.

After his violent spree, the man fled the scene, sparking an urgent air search by the National Police Air Service helicopter. Police soon caught and arrested the Bradford on Avon local on multiple charges.

Multiple Charges as Surgery Closes

The 30-something suspect now faces six counts of common assault, criminal damage, affray, theft, and assaulting an emergency worker. He remains in Melksham custody as police continue their questioning.

Bradford on Avon Health Partnership confirmed the surgery will remain closed today (Wednesday, 18 March) due to damage. All face-to-face appointments have been moved to phone consultations. Nearby surgeries at St Margarets and Winsley remain open for urgent care.
