A monstrous predator from Pembrokeshire has been slapped with an extended jail sentence after admitting to raping a woman and a young boy—and attempting to rape a girl. Talha Ahmadzai, 33, shocked Swansea Crown Court with a string of horrific offences committed across Wales last year.
Brutal Crimes, Shocking Denials
Ahmadzai, who fled Afghanistan as a refugee, orally raped a schoolboy, tried to force a schoolgirl into oral sex, and repeatedly raped a woman. He pleaded guilty to:
- Three counts of rape of a woman
- Rape of a boy under 13
- Attempted rape of a girl under 13
- Causing a child to watch a sexual act
- Assault by beating
Despite having a clean criminal record, he initially denied the charges, calling them “fabricated.” Ahmadzai shockingly claimed: “Women won’t have sex without force.” He also challenged UK laws, insisting these acts aren’t crimes in his homeland.
Disturbing Background Revealed
Evidence showed Ahmadzai was diagnosed with a “sexual illness” before arriving in the UK. A fellow Afghan reported he was “masturbating every hour.” His lawyer admitted the crimes were “appalling” but blamed a psychotic episode for his actions. Ahmadzai has since been treated with psychiatric medication.
Hard-Hitting Sentence and Public Danger
Judge Huw Rees slammed the crimes as “a catalogue of abhorrent offending of the utmost seriousness.” The court heard Ahmadzai’s dangerous, entrenched views put the public at high risk.
Appearing from a psychiatric hospital, Ahmadzai was sentenced to a whopping 21 years and seven months—19 years and seven months in prison, plus two years on licence. He must serve two-thirds before parole can be considered.
Deportation Looms After Sentence
The judge ordered the case be referred to the Home Office to consider deporting Ahmadzai back to Afghanistan once he finishes his sentence.
This chilling case exposes a deadly mindset and highlights the UK’s ongoing battle to protect vulnerable victims from repeat sex offenders.
