A suspected drug dealer has been locked up after cops found a massive £240,000 stash of cocaine tucked away in a bedside drawer in Broadstairs.

Kent Police Bust Major Drug Operation in Thanet

On the morning of Thursday, 12 March 2026, Kent Police swooped on two homes in Broadstairs as part of a cracking down on the local drug supply chain.

Officers seized three kilos of Class A drugs and a substantial haul of cash during the raids.

Dealer Remanded After Court Appearance

Rennie Ash, 46, from Westover Gardens, Broadstairs, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply, along with possession of criminal property (cash).

Ash appeared at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Friday 13 March and was remanded in custody. He faces further hearings at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, 13 April.
