Mum, 28, Murdered in Ipswich Shock
Tragic Find at Ipswich Home
Police swooped on a Russet Road house just after 1am on Tuesday following welfare calls. Inside, they found beloved mum Karlie Sone, 28, unresponsive. She was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Suffolk Police confirmed Karlie’s identity and have launched a murder investigation while awaiting a formal inquest.
Family’s Heartbreaking Tribute
“Our beloved Karlie Sone was a much-loved mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, auntie, and friend. Our family is absolutely devastated that our beautiful Karlie has been ripped away from her two daughters and her family and friends, leaving an unfillable void in all of our hearts.”
Karlie’s family described her as “the most beautiful, caring soul you could ever wish to meet” whose daughters were her entire world.
Community Rallies with Support
A GoFundMe set up to cover funeral costs and help Karlie’s two young daughters has smashed its target, raising over £19,000 in a show of overwhelming community support.
Suspect Held and Facing Court
Paul Stevenson, 39, from Fletcher Road, Ipswich, was charged with Karlie’s murder. He remains in custody, with his next court hearing set for May 11.
The family added: “Karlie will always be in our thoughts and memories, never forgotten. Though we’re heartbroken beyond words, her spirit lives on in her daughters, who will be cherished and loved just as she would have wanted.”
