Drug Dealer Jailed for 70 Months Over Modern Slavery Exploits
Craig Rogers, 30, from Harewood Rise, Keighley, has been slammed with a hefty 70-month prison sentence after admitting to modern-day slavery charges at Bradford Crown Court on 12 March.
Victims Forced into Crime and Financial Exploitation
Rogers targeted two vulnerable victims living on Harewood Road. He forced them to store and handle Class A drugs. Taking it further, he stole their benefits and hijacked their home addresses. The victims were made to work without a penny for themselves.
Relentless Threats and Abuse Exposed
The terrified victims suffered constant assaults, threats, and intimidation while trapped under Rogers’ control. The twisted exploitation was uncovered by Bradford District’s Precision team alongside the Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team.
“Both victims were subjected to threats, assaults and intimidation,” court records confirm.
This ruthless case shines a harsh light on the UK’s ongoing fight against modern slavery and exploitation.
