Tragic Collision Shuts Down A38 in Sutton-in-Ashfield

A young boy has lost his life in a heartbreaking smash on the A38 Kings Mill Road East. Seven-year-old Logan Parker was tragically struck by a car near Kingfisher Way on Tuesday evening.

Emergency teams arrived at the scene at 8.26pm but could not save Logan, who died instantly. The driver stayed and is fully cooperating with police.

The A38 was closed both ways for hours as officers investigated the crash, reopening late in the night. Detectives are now hunting for witnesses and dashcam footage to work out exactly what happened.

Police Make Urgent Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Inspector Jamie Moore from Nottinghamshire’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit spoke out:

“This is a devastating incident and our thoughts are with Logan’s family and loved ones.

We ask for privacy for the family during this painful time.

If you witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage, please contact us on 101, quoting incident number 770 of 10 March.”
