Shock Scandal Hits Stoke-on-Trent Charity

A man and woman have been caught red-handed accessing confidential computer files without permission, sparking fury over a shocking betrayal of vulnerable victims.

Ex-Charity Worker and Accomplice Sentenced

Shane Davis, 36, currently behind bars at HMP Dovegate, and Lauren Leese, 30, from Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, admitted their crimes at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on March 9.

  • Davis was jailed for 12 months, to run alongside his existing sentence.
  • Leese was given a 12-month suspended sentence, suspended for 18 months.

Betrayal of Trust: Charity Worker Exploits Position

Leese worked as an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) for the now-defunct Savana charity. Despite her trusted role, she illegally accessed and shared sensitive information about a child victim of serious sexual offences over six months in 2024.

This breach of trust has left the community stunned and demanding justice for those let down by the charity.
