A man was rushed to hospital after a stabbing on New Parade, Worthing, sparking a huge emergency response with armed police swooping on the scene.
Man Stabbed in Broad Daylight
The attack unfolded at around 3.20pm on Thursday, March 5. The 30-year-old victim suffered serious injuries but they are not life-threatening. He is currently in a stable condition at hospital.
Two Arrested After Brutal Attack
- A 25-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
- A 31-year-old Worthing local was also detained, suspected of helping the offender.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Detective Inspector Chris May said: “Two men have been arrested in relation to this incident. This is an active investigation and we encourage anyone who witnessed the incident or who has relevant information, such as CCTV or mobile phone footage, to contact us.”
