Man Fatally Stabbed in Brutal Alum Rock Attack
A 30-year-old man has died after a savage stabbing on Bridge Road, Alum Rock, Birmingham. Ali Alshmari tragically succumbed to his wounds at the scene.
Woman Hurt and Suspect Nabbed
A woman in her 50s also suffered hand injuries but has since been released from hospital. Police arrested a 32-year-old man nearby. He remains in custody on suspicion of murder.

West Midlands Police recovered the suspected murder weapon at the scene. Armed officers, both plainclothes and uniformed, quickly responded to the incident.
The stabbing happened close to a local school, but authorities confirmed it is not linked to terrorism. Officers met community members to reassure the public and address any fears.
