A horrific smash on the A20 coastbound near Roundhill Tunnel has left a man in his 30s fighting for life. The crash happened on the evening of Tuesday, 3 March 2026, when a white MAN articulated lorry slammed into a stationary grey Peugeot 308.
Man Serious After Lorry Crashes Into Stationary Car
The Peugeot was parked when the lorry, heading the same way, smashed into it at speed. Emergency crews raced to the scene. The car driver, in his 30s, was rushed to hospital with multiple severe injuries and remains in critical condition.
Lorry Driver Arrested on Dangerous Driving Charges
The 52-year-old lorry driver was taken to hospital for checks before being arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He is currently in police custody.
