Two Held Over “Red vs Blue” Schoolyard Turf Wars

Met Police have nabbed a man in his twenties and a 15-year-old boy in Central East London amid a viral social media frenzy stirring violence among school kids.

Social Media Gangs Spark Dangerous After-School Clashes

The arrests follow a booming “Red vs Blue” craze on TikTok and Snapchat, where pupils are split into colour-coded factions. What started as harmless fun has quickly turned violent.

  • Posts urged kids to bring metal compasses, combs and other everyday items as weapons.
  • Schools sounded the alarm, warning parents and students alike.
  • Police stepped up patrols across multiple boroughs in response.
  • Parents warned to collect their children promptly from school gates for safety.
  • Section 35 dispersal orders used to break up gatherings and keep the peace.

Police Hold Firm But Future Arrests Uncertain

“On Sunday, 1 March at approximately 18:45hrs, Met officers arrested two individuals in Central East London linked to social media posts promoting crime,” a Met spokesperson said.

“Both suspects remain in police custody while investigations continue.”
