Human remains have been found on the south side of Ben Nevis, reigniting hopes and questions over the fate of missing walker Harvey Christian.
Harvey Christian Vanished on Ben Nevis in 2023
Harvey Christian, 42, from Cambridgeshire, went missing in January 2023. He was last believed to be on Ben Nevis, Scotland’s highest peak. A massive search followed, with mountain rescue teams, coastguard helicopters, and search dogs braving harsh conditions to find him.
Police Confirm Discovery of Remains
Police Scotland revealed the grim find: “Around 11.50am on Saturday, 28 February, human remains were found on the south side of Ben Nevis.”
They added:
“The remains have yet to be formally identified, but the family of Harvey Christian, reported missing from the Fort William area in January 2023, has been informed.”
Police stressed, “There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances,” and confirmed a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
