Two Women Charged After Man Found Dead in Helston Business Park Car

Police have charged two women after a man’s body was found inside a vehicle at Helston Business Park in December 2024. The shocking discovery sparked a major murder probe and arrests on serious charges.

Body Found During Early Morning Welfare Check

Devon & Cornwall Police were called in the early hours of Wednesday, 18 December 2024, amid welfare concerns. Officers discovered the body of a man in his 60s, from the Avon and Somerset area, inside a car at the business park. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two Women Charged with Preventing Lawful Burial

Dinah Manders, 88, of Weirfield Road, Exeter, and Rosemary Manders, 53, of Upton Lane, Ilminster, were arrested on suspicion of murder, wilful neglect, and preventing lawful burial.

Both women have now been formally charged with preventing the lawful and decent burial of a dead body. They will face no further action for murder or wilful neglect.

The pair were released on bail and are due to appear at Truro Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 26 March.
